Purple Goat and Me

One winter morning, when I got to school a purple goat was sitting at my desk. The purple goat looked at me and said “Teeeeee heeeee”

The teacher came and said: “Sit down, already!” but because the goat didn’t want to move I had to sit on his lap.

It seemed only I could see the purple goat.

The purple goat sang “My Way” in my ear the whole time I was in math class so that I could not take notes at all. Then, the purple goat ate my quiz in history class. At lunch time the purple goat licked my peanut butter and flipped over my soup bowl.  I almost cried. The purple goat said: “Teeeeee heee”

After lunch is the gym class. Today’s subject is high jump-my least favorite.

I went to the end of the line. I wanted to run away but the purple goat was holding my collar with his mouth. Our turn came: I was standing at the front of the line! I took a deep breath, stared at the bar and started!

And I landed on my belly. I didn’t jump over the bar. But I did jump higher than ever.

“Yo, how’d you jump so high!?!” The kids talked to me at the water cooler. They usually didn’t even say hello.

“Teeeeeeee heeeeee” The purple goat and I said, and squirted water on them.

After the water battle, the teacher made us stand in the corner. We all said “Teeeeee heeee” at the teacher’s back and ran.

We promised to have lunch together the next day and went home.

When I got home the purple goat was gone. “Maybe you can come see me sometime… …only sometime,” I said in my heart.
